Using my frying pan for the first time to cook sliced meat. AI-generated illustration.

  • I finally used the frying pan I bought three or four weeks ago. I'd bought it thinking I could cook eggs or pan-fry some meat, but it had just been sitting in my room. Getting the groceries I wanted had taken longer than actually buying the pan.

  • Today I had time to go to Target and get some meat. I cooked thin slices in the pan, and it turned out really good. After having the pan for almost a month, I finally had a meal to show for it.

  • I went to Systems for AI and Virtualization as usual. Recently, I've been getting interested in systems for AI as a research field, too. It's something I actually want to spend more time learning about.

  • I deleted the Instagram app from my phone and now use Instagram for messages through Safari. I made an extension that takes me straight to DMs instead of the feed or Reels. That way, I don't end up looking through everyone's stories. It's been helpful.

  • I had studying to do for next Tuesday's Systems for AI quiz, along with the virtualization assignment due tomorrow.

  • After cooking and eating, I changed into workout clothes and went to a place with both a study space and a gym. I studied for a few hours, worked out, and came home. I got quite a lot done today.

  • The blackout curtains still seem to be helping me sleep well. I'm really liking them.
